Heiner Bielefeldt develops a concept of enlightened multiculturalism, the foundations and the limits of which are located in human rights. According to this concept, he analyzes the current controversies around the hijab, religious education, forced marriages, citizenship tests and the integration of Islamic minorities.This book is conceived of as a contribution to the contemporary debate in Germany around integration
